The Marketing Drop: Doodles' Digital Fashion, Cris Garner's Blockchain Education, and Moonbirds' Art Showcase
Let's take a look at some of my favorite stories of the week
Hello Web3 enthusiasts, and welcome to another week of The Marketing Drop! In this issue, we dive into the ever-evolving AI landscape, discuss startups driving innovation, and take a closer look at some amazing projects that are shaping the web3 space.
First up, Doodles is stepping up its game with the ambitious goal of becoming the next Pixar, and by the looks of it, they are well on their way. Introducing the new Character Builder feature, Doodles has partnered with Pharrell Williams and Adidas to enable digital garment generation for your characters. Digital wearables will be introduced to add depth and personality to these characters, potentially integrating them into play-to-earn games and the metaverse. Get ready to style your Doodles with street-savvy and joyously vibrant outfits in true web3 fashion.
Speaking of innovation, we had a chance to chat with Cris Garner, a developer who's been making waves in the web3 space since 2018. Starting with NFTs in gaming, Garner has expanded his focus to education initiatives in Honduras, smart contracts, and monthly meetups on various blockchain topics, committed to onboarding more local artists to the web3 space.
One of his partnerships is with EthKipu, an organization committed to spreading the gospel of blockchain technology and its potential throughout Latin America, and ensuring a vibrant and educated web3 community.
Now, let's talk art! Have you seen the Ephemeral Tides generative collection by Ryan Bell, part of the Moonbirds Diamond Exhibition? As a recent addition to the Proof ecosystem, this initiative showcased digital and generative art from 21 talented artists. While the project faced some technical issues, the team has shown resilience and commitment to making things right. The Day One Shuffle will be open until next Tuesday, May 9, offering holders a chance to exchange duplicates for different pieces, with extra artwork and bonus draws added to sweeten the deal.
Our AI art project of the week was creating a Disney character using Midjourney and D_ID.com. The process was seamless and enjoyable, producing a final product that even captivated tech-savvy youngsters.
That's all for this week's newsletter! I'll be traveling for the next two weeks, but I'll be back to regular programming upon my return. Until then, stay curious, stay educated, and stay tuned for more exciting developments in the web3 space!
